Many partners have joined forces to enable coordinated bird monitoring at meadow restoration sites throughout the greater Sierra Nevada region. One example of a successful partnership is Indian Valley, on the Eldorado National Forest, where we have joined with a diverse group of partners who are restoring the meadow and monitoring the effects on birds. The video below provides an introduction to the project at Indian Valley.
Partners on our coordinated bird monitoring project at meadow restoration sites include:

PROJECT PARTNERS
In addition to studying meadow conditions for birds broadly across the Sierra, sometimes IBP works closely with land managers on specific meadow restoration projects. At Indian Valley in Alpine, CA, IBP has worked closely with a consortium of partners from multiple state and federal agencies, conservation organizations, and private industry to help incorporate the needs of riparian birds into hydrologic restoration efforts, and then monitor the response of bird populations to those efforts.
