Landbirds of Conservation Concern

A number of prioritized lists of birds of conservation concern have been published in conservation plans for breeding birds of North America. Many plans fall under the umbrella fo the The U.S. North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI) Committee and can be downloaded from their website: http://www.nabci-us.org/main2.html

The Partners in Flight (PIF) North American Landbird Conservation Plan provides lists of species of concern by NABCI Bird Conservation Region (BCR) http://www.partnersinflight.org/cont_plan/ but these, and other lists, can be obtained through a NABCI resource http://www.nabci-us.org/map.html by clicking on a map of BCR regions. NIOC Sugar Grove lies within the finer-scale PIF Physiographic Area 12 (Mid Atlantic Ridge and Valley) for which a specific bird conservation plan is available (PDF).
