Willamette
NF, Spatial Statistics Database
GIS scripts developed by IBP allow the user to define
a list of map stations, the spatial extent of analysis, and a list of
land cover class codes (or habitats) of interest. For instance, we provide
the results of spatial analyses (FRAGSTATS)
of USGS GAP and National Land Cover Datasets (NLCD1992, NLCD2001, and
derived difference datasets) for multiple radii surrounding each MAPS
stations in the region. This enables the user to extract spatial statistics
by defining certain criteria (e.g. 4km radius statistics for deciduous
forest habitat [41], shrub habitat [5], and agricultural land [8]) and
absolute cover change over ten year period (1992-2001).
Instructions for retrieving spatial data
1. Select and copy the following Station Numbers of
Willamette MAPS stations:

(See MAPSStationInfo.xls
for associated station names, geographic locations, brief habitat descriptions,
and monitoring function)
2. Click on the link to the dataset of your interest:

of NLCD change product codes to signify habitat loss or gain between
1992 and 2001.

a the modified Level I reclassification of USGS's Northwest
GAP product. used in the spatial analyses.
3. Paste the station numbers in the "Station ID"
Box
